Spacecraft Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) Engineer

York Space Systems has an opening for a Spacecraft Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) engineer. This position will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and integration & testing of the electrical power system for on-going and future spacecraft. Responsibilities also include working with and managing subcontracts and procurement of EPS hardware from external hardware vendors and managing internal hardware builds.

The candidate should have direct experience with the following:
• Overall spacecraft power system architectures and design
• Grounding architectures and approaches
• Power budgeting and power system analysis and simulation
• Power system hardware design
• Spacecraft battery design and battery sizing
• Spacecraft solar array design and solar array sizing and associated analysis
• EPS system-level and spacecraft-level integration & testing (I&T)
• Fault detection, isolation and response (FDIR) design and implementation
Candidates should have at least 3 to 5 years or more direct spacecraft power subsystem experience. Candidates should have at least a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or other directly applicable background from an accredited educational institution.

Spacecraft Systems Engineer

York Space Systems has an opening for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer interested in working in an exciting environment developing spacecraft through all segments of the life cycle. This position will be responsible for working with Senior engineering leadership to design, develop, and deploy small spacecraft solutions working amongst an innovative and fast-paced engineering team. Responsibilities also include working to develop test procedures, managing databases, developing interfaces, and integrating and testing hardware.

It is desirable for the candidate to have experience with the following:
• Spacecraft subsystem general architecture knowledge
• Power and mass budgeting
• High order estimation of subsystem performance expectations
• Interface Control documentation
• Hardware Test Procedure Development
• Subsystem database tracking and responsibility
• Integration & Test
• Fault detection and recovery
The ideal candidate would have approximately 3 to 5 years or more spacecraft experience. Candidates should have at least a BS degree in an Engineering discipline or other directly applicable background from an accredited educational institution.
